Frequently asked questions.
Can I watch my child’s swimming lesson?
Absolutely! We’ve created a relaxing, air-conditioned viewing area just for you. Feel free to sit back and enjoy watching your little swimmer grow. To help your child focus and bond with their instructor, we kindly ask that you avoid interacting during the lesson. It’s important for them to build trust with their coach. If you ever have questions or concerns, our Head Instructor is happy to chat with you before or after class.
Does my child need to wear a swim diaper?
Yes – for all swimmers who aren’t fully potty trained, a reusable Happy Nappy swim diaper is required. These are available for purchase at our facility and help us keep the pool clean and safe for everyone.
Can I wear shoes on the pool deck?
For health and safety, no outdoor shoes are allowed in the change rooms or on deck. Please bring clean indoor shoes or go barefoot while inside the swim area.
Can I take photos or videos of my child?
Of course! We love seeing proud moments. You’re welcome to take pictures or videos of your child during lessons — and if you catch a great one, feel free to tag us on Instagram or Facebook! @liquidlearningschool If you’d prefer your child not be photographed, just let a supervisor know.
What if my child cries during their lesson?
It’s completely normal — especially in the early stages. Our instructors are trained to support children through nerves or tears and help them feel confident in the water. If your presence is making it harder for your child to adjust, we may kindly ask you to watch from a spot where you’re not visible.
Can I change my class time after I register?
We get it — life happens. If something comes up and you need to switch days or times, reach out to us. If there’s space in your child’s level, we’ll do our best to accommodate the change.
Can I register after the session has already started?
Yes! If there’s space in the class, we’re happy to welcome you mid-session. Your fees will be pro-rated so you’ll only pay for the remaining lessons.
What should we bring to lessons?
Just the basics:
Swimsuit
Towel
Goggles and swim cap (especially helpful for long hair)
Swim diaper if your child is under 3 years old (Happy Nappy required over top a disposable)
Is Liquid Learning affiliated with any swim organization?
We are a private swim school with our own custom-designed learn-to-swim curriculum focused on confidence, safety, and personal growth. It’s not just lessons — it’s Liquid Learning.
Do you cancel lessons when the weather is bad?
We run lessons rain or shine (even snow)! If weather ever forces us to cancel, we’ll contact you directly by phone or email. If you haven’t heard from us, that means your class is still running as planned.
When should my child start swimming lessons?
The earlier the better! We recommend introducing babies to the water around 3 months old. Our preschool programs start around 2.5 to 3 years old, with small group classes designed for independent swimmers — no parent assistance needed.
What if we miss a class?
We offer make-up classes for absences due to illness or family emergencies — based on availability. Here’s how it works:
Notify us at least 12 hours in advance through the Parent Portal
You’ll receive a make-up token (valid for one year)
You must be currently enrolled to use the token
Up to 2 make-ups per session (not available in summer or backyard sessions)
Missed make-ups cannot be rebooked
When can I register for lessons?
